"All the features of a DVR without the high cost
or
potential Hardware failure"
What is an NVR (Network Video Recorder)?
An NVR is a network video recorder software solution that runs on a standard PC or Network Server and records video from one or more network cameras.
The NVR solution differentiates itself from other existing DVR (digital video recording) products by using an existing IP data network to record video from one or more network cameras and consequently eliminates the need for dedicated "home run" coaxial cabling. By combining all of the following capabilities into one solution, the NVR is a uniquely versatile and cost effective product.
IP network-centric architecture
Web-enabled remote access
Centralized management
Comprehensive notification choices
Centralized management of multiple systems through a single interface
Intrusion notification by utilizing motion detection
Alarm verification capability to help reduce false alarms
Search recorded video by event, date, time, or camera location
Optional offsite image storage
Windows compatible with Network IP Cameras
Broadcasts live video up to 30 frames per second
Simultaneous recording of cameras
Time stamps captured video
Records password protected video clips
Records video when a motion is detected
Allows you to view recorded video remotely
Sends you an e-mail when motion is detected
Allows you to define the active area for motion detection
Creates thumbnails from captured images
Comprehensive player helps you to easily play-back your archived files and quickly navigate inside the clips by clicking a thumbnail
User name and password to control access to your camera and recorded videos from the internet
The Solution
DSG offers a Professional Series Network IP Camera and award-winning video surveillance software to create a "user friendly" Surveillance Solution that is flexible enough to be a perfect fit for both Home and Business users. Our Solution eliminates the need for costly Hardware implementation by using existing network infrastructures.
Installation / Integration Because our NVR utilizes an IP network infrastructure, it can easily be integrated into a facility with existing structured network wiring (Category V, Ve and VI). The cameras can be set up anywhere on the network, with no need for dedicated coaxial "home run" wiring, setting up a new IP-based security system has never been easier or more cost effective. The cameras can even be powered using Power Over Ethernet (POE), eliminating the need to provide AC outlets close to the camera locations or adding power cabling to a central power source.
Remote Viewing
Our NVR has an easy-to-use graphical interface, accessible both locally and remotely, with no remote client viewing software necessary for remote access. To view what the cameras are seeing, a remote user simply runs a Web Browser on any PC, PDA, or SmartPhone.
Monitor Your Home or Office While You're Away
Your camera can be used as a Surveillance System to watch your home, office, children, pets or anything else. The program has a Motion Detection feature, which can perform various tasks when triggered. When the program detects motion in the monitored area, it can sound an alarm, e-mail you the captured images, start broadcasting or record a video. Video can be recorded in AVI or MPEG formats. The recorded video can be played back via the internet.
System Upgrades
Digital Video Recorders (DVR) are sold in increments such as 4-camera, 8-camera, 16-camera, etc. with limited video storage. If the DVR consumer needs to add cameras or video storage, the only option is to start over and purchase a larger capacity system. The DSG NVR Solution allows you to add camera locations as easily and quickly as adding users on your network. This revolutionary new technology makes our Solution simple to expand as your system grows. Recording is based on a pre-defined schedule, external alarm trigger or detection of motion at up to 30 FPS per camera. Any of the existing PC workstations on the network can be utilized as viewing clients to monitor live video and retrieve archives. Using a dual monitor configuration, up to 32 cameras can be viewed simultaneously from each workstation. Live video can be viewed via the internet.
Who could use this system?
Banking Financial institutions can install Surveillance Solutions at offices to increase security. Separate video files of each specific action can be stored onto a central Web server for potential future investigation. High image quality leads to easy identification of people and at the cashier in the branch office. Ability to encrypt video files gives additional proof of identity.
Buildings, offices, shopping-malls and parking lots Surveillance Solutions can monitor buildings, offices, shopping malls and parking lots securely and easily, thus making these places safer for all visitors. At night, the system can be used to monitor the facility. In the event of an unauthorized entry, motion detection can initiate recording of the intruder and send an immediate notification to security.
Retail
Surveillance Solutions provide additional security over traditional analog systems for retail stores who are constantly exposed to the threat of robbery. Live video is transmitted over the Internet and can be stored on a Web server in a secure place, rather than on a tape cassette that is accessible to potential criminals.
Home Security
During the day, you can watch your children, parents, pets etc. remotely via the Internet. At night, motion detection can trigger an alarm, start recording video, and scare intruders with a sound siren.
DSG Services
Design: DSG will engineer an entire system for you including a site survey and evaluation for cabling needs, camera placement and specific client requirements. Cabling: DSG will then provide and install the Category Ve cabling as necessary to support the cameras. All cables will be terminated and tested. Cameras: We'll install cameras for both indoor and outdoor requirements and adjust cameras for precise focus and viewing area. Network Storage: As part of our complete package, DSG will either design and build a CPU to be used for video storage or we'll configure all cameras to direct Video Storage to a customer provided CPU or Server. Software: DSG will install the software necessary to create the NVR. This software can be installed on any CPU within the network.
Configuration of All Resources: We'll make final adjustments for all cameras and set up the software to direct motion, storage, alarms, e-mail alerts and specific customer requirements. In-Service Training: Finally, DSG will assist the customer in becoming familiar with the operation of the software, including training to make minor changes to the system settings.
